Another Successful Totally Locally Launch

Today we have been recovering from the Totally Locally West Bridgford launch on Saturday where we were blessed with stunning sunshine and we are now nursing some tender, red parts.

The day was fantastic and we met loads of people in West Bridgford that had come out to try their local shops, support the £5 campaign and to say hello and share their Hidden Gems.

There was music from and for all ages and it was the busiest Melton Road Market ever…with even the Abundance Apple Juicing running out of apples having squeezed out several box loads and over 20 litres of Apple Juice.

The nice thing for us is that we are now on with collecting your comments and sharing them with your hidden gems…also businesses were reporting that it was there busiest Saturday ever, which is how Totally Locally starts to make an impact on the area.

Top Day. Excellent

Well the launch of Totally Locally West Bridgford is upon us…we have had the final bits of printing done, we have packed up the Totally Locally transport ready to go down to the launch tomorrow and talk with the lovely people, shops and businesses of West Bridgford. I think we’ve even manage to book the sunshine!

Extra! Extra! Read all about it!
A right nice write up in the Nottingham Post from Monday. Getting excited about the launch on October 1st now, always good to see people getting involved!

Totally Locally Leek Launch

We couldn’t have wished for a better day! We can’t even curse the rain because, well, that’s England for you, and it made those sunny spells all the more bright! The turnout was incredible, there were people who had heard about us and came to hear more, and people who were none the wiser but were more than happy to stop by at our stall and have a chat and suggest their favourite independent shops!

After months of planning, discussing and all round getting excited; the Totally Locally Leek Launch finally took place on Saturday at the Fine Food Market!

A massive Totally Locally thank you to everyone involved- the lovely people of Leek who showed their support and the amazing shops, cafes and markets who gave us a nice warm welcome and did a blooming good job of getting everybody excited!

Have a gander at the website and Facebook for a write up at more photos!

Well right on schedule we got the new look Totally Locally front page up. It should be a lot easier to see what is going on, to find out what Totally Locally is about and also to get Totally Locally in your town. Let us know why you think.

Leek launch on the Horizon

Much of today has been about preparing for the Leek Launch, Chris has been speaking to radio stations about Totally Locally, Nigel has been working on a new and improved frontage for the site which we hope will launch tomorrow and include a link to this tumblr page at the very least!

Kerri has been working hard on some new web graphics , West Bridgford and everything else. Sam is still on holiday so Nigel is trying to do a bit of admin/email answer catch-up so apologies if it is a wee bit slow.

We need to create a new Totally Locally Team page which also has Kerri, Sam and all the great helpers that we have in the new and old Totally Locally towns. sounds like a Friday project for someone.

Trip to Olney last week was great fun…more town updates to follow…my day out is described on our site…http://totally-locally.co.uk/company/news/an-afternoon-in-olney/ Aubergine Cookshop was great and Janet there is one of the reasons that independent shops will continue to thrive in the future.

Totally Locally Road Trip

Well it is the start of a busy week at Totally Locally Towers this week. Nigel & Chris are starting the week’s road trip visiting Leek, Olney, Cleckheaton & Ampthill to talk Totally Locally with a view to putting it into their towns. Very exciting times…especially as we are talking with parts of Nottingham and Sheffield next week as well. Totally Locally Sam will be sorting out the Film Show for Wednesday at Dean Clough and also finalising the list of shops and cafes that were voted for in our recent awards so that we can start to send out the nice comments that people passed on during the voting.
